Electromagnetism theory and experimental tests.
I am interested in interference and diffraction phenomena, and have used Maxwell's equations to yield amplitude, phase and Poynting vector spatial distributions for a variety of geometries. Previous analyses have been used to refute claims that a pulsed microwave double slit experiment might challenge Complementarity. I have also conducted experimental checks of the recent suggestion that the classical electromagnetic field may, if circularly polarized, carry a longitudinal, constant component, the so-called B(3) field.
